India’s leading logistics player, Transport Corporation of India (TCI) has announced high double-digit growth figure in both topline and bottomline during the third quarter of the current fiscal. The company has reported a revenue figure of Rs 562 crore which is 24.5 percent higher than Rs 451 crore figure recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. The profit after tax – at Rs 27 crore – has jumped by a hefty margin of 65 percent. During the nine month period of the current fiscal, the company has reported a revenue growth of 19 percent (Rs 1587 crore) whereas the profit after tax figure went up by 37 percent.
Commenting on the results, Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director said, “ Our positive Q3/9M results is devoted to TCI’s continuous focus on value growth verticals like retail, auto, pharma etc. through its service segments like large scale warehousing, multimodal rail and coastal solutions amongst others.”
