Bangalore headquartered BlackBuck logistics, a start up specialising in intercity logistics, has raised a further $70 million in series C round of funding. This round of funding has been primarily supported by Accel and Flipkart.
In 2015, BlackBuck received series A funding amounting $5 million from Accel Partners and Flipkart while its series B funding amounting $25 million was backed by Tiger Global and Apoletto.
According to a news report, the Blackbuck platform currently offers the services of over 100,000 trucks in 300 locations across the country and the company is believed to have seen a hefty jump of 40-80 percent in its topline last year. The company also boasts of a prestigious client base including the names like Asian Paints, Unilever, Coke, Britannia, Godrej, Marico, Jyothy Laboratories, and EID Parry. The company is targeting to corner 1 percent market share of the trucking industry in the medium run.
