Anshuman Singh led Stellar Value Chain Solutions is all set to announce its second big acquisition since formation in 2016. Supplychainlog has learnt that the company is in advanced stages of negotiation to buy out Kolkata headquartered Innovative Logistics. There are two versions of the possible size of the deal – while one section claiming to be in know of things has pegged the value of all cash deal at Rs 100 crore, another source underlined that it will be in the range of Rs 125- Rs 140 crore.
Stellar Value Chain Solutions had grabbed the attention in 2016 when Anshuman Singh (former top executive of Future Supply Chain) had raised $125 million from Warburg Pincus to form the company. This has been the largest ever seed capital investment in a logistics start-up in the country. “ Stellar Value Chain will redefine supply chain processes in the country and it will have large scale advanced distribution centers at the fulcrum of its operations,” Singh had earlier told this correspondent. The acquisition of Innovative Logistics is expected to add new warehousing capacity in Stellar’s kitty in East and South India. Stellar, since its formation, has already taken over 2 million square feet of warehousing space on lease. Early last year, the company had made its first acquisition by buying a company in the cold chain space. “ Our growth strategy will have both organic and inorganic elements,” Singh had said then. A formal announcement of Innovation Logistics’ buyout is expected in a week’s time.
