Rs 1400 crore Karnataka highway projects get green signal

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued Letter of Award (LOA) for development of national highway number 4A in the state of Karnataka.

The four-laning of Belgaum–Khanapur Section of about 30 kilometres has been awarded to Ashoka Concessions on Hybrid Annuity Mode at a cost of Rs. 892.16 crore. The two-laning of about 52 kilometres of the Highway on Karnataka/Goa Border with Paved Shoulder has been awarded to  Dilip Buildcon on EPC Mode at a cost of Rs. 503.22 crore.

This section of NH-4A is an existing flexible pavement connecting Belgaum, a major city in the State of Karnataka, and Panaji, the State capital of Goa, a major port and an international tourist destination passing through the settlements of Khanapur, Gunji and Ramnagar.
