Delhi-headquartered Ecom Express, a leading e-commerce delivery company, has reported significant growth in its pan-India coverage. The company has claimed adding 8000 pin codes to its existing network taking its pin-code coverage volume to 25,000.
As part of this expansion drive, the company has expanded its network to cover the entire states of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in line with its full-state coverage programme, that is, to cover 100 per cent PIN codes of a state, including all villages. To cater to this expansive network, the company has also opened over 800 Delivery Centers taking the count to 2500+ to cater to the large consumer base in rural and remote locations of these eight states.
Commented T.A. Krishnan, Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder – Ecom Express, “Online retail brands seeking to tap India’s fast-growing rural market heavily rely on logistics to deliver orders to customers… This expansion is a 50% increase from our existing network of serviceable PIN codes that were set up early last year and will enable us to better serve our customers and end-consumers with fast and reliable delivery in every nook and corner of the country.”
This expansion follows the earlier full-state coverage in Delhi, Haryana, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab which was completed last year.
