Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of global aviation giant Emirates, will be opening one more trade lane in South America to its global network. From 5th July, the cargo division of the airline will be commencing operations in Santiago, Chile.
Santiago will be Emirates SkyCargo’s sixth destination in South America following Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Viracopos, Buenos Aires and Ciudad del Este. The air cargo carrier will be offering customers up to 15 tonnes of cargo capacity on its Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
The new service will offer one of the fastest flight connections for cargo from Chile to destinations in East Asia including Shanghai, Middle East and Russia through Dubai. Together with the rapid flight time, Emirates SkyCargo also offers a suite of specialised transportation solutions for perishable cargo – Emirates Fresh – to help ensure the freshness of Chilean salmon and fruits during transit.
