NSTI for women inaugurated in Mohali

The Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship  Dharmendra Pradhan, laid the foundation stone for permanent campus of National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) for Women at Mohali, Punjab last week. Adani Ports signs regasification pact with GAIL

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), India’s leading private port infrastructure developer which is currently operating 10 ports and terminals in the country in both eastern and western coasts, has now signed a long term agreement with GAIL India to provide Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) regasification services on a use or pay basis, at its upcoming LNG import terminal at Dhamra in Odisha.   As per the contract, GAIL India has booked 1.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) regasification capacity for a period of 20 years. GAIL plans to supply the gas to its portfolio of customers located in the eastern region and along the under development Jagdishpur– Haldia gas grid.…

DHL- Ethiopian Airlines form JV

DHL Global Forwarding and Ethiopian Airlines, the largest aviation group in Africa, have agreed to form a joint venture company – DHL-Ethiopian Airline Logistics Services. UPS reports over 9% growth in Q2 topline

Global air cargo major, UPS has reported a modest jump in the vicinity of double-digit in Q2 of the current fiscal. The company has recorded a revenue increase of 9.6 percent to $17.5 billion across all segments. Among other highlights, the company’s net income increased 7.3% and adjusted net income was 22% higher than 2Q17, year-to-date dividends per share increased by 10% to $1.6 billion and share repurchases were $511 million. Operating surplus of major ports on a rise

The ministry of Shipping recently submitted the financial status of the major ports in the country and among other things, the submission strongly highlight the rise in operating surplus for the last three years. As per the submission, the operating surplus of Kolkata port rose to 781 crore in 17-18 as against 463 crore in 15-16.
