Core Industries grew by over 6 % in June

The Eight Core Industries comprising two-fifth of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew at a modest pace of 6.7 per cent in comparison to the corresponding month figure last year. Coal production registered a double-digit growth of 11.5 per cent in June, 2018 over June, 2017. The growth in refinery products was much higher at 12 percent.
