Dubai headquartered express and logistics major Aramex has decided to move out of its domestic business in India. According to a recent report published in a leading national daily, Gurgaon headquartered Delhivery will integrate Aramex’s domestic business in its fold from the beginning of the next month. Aramex, however, will continue to operate its international business from India.
The acquisition of Aramex domestic operations is slated to give a major boost to Delhivery which is more aligned to the fast-growing e-commerce delivery business in the country. Aramex domestic business includes serving clients like Amazon India. The news report on this critical development cites an email message sent by Aramex India country manager to company’s domestic customers informing them of this change even as there hasn’t been an official comment from both the companies involved.
