DP World to build hyperloop in India to decongest cargo trade

Speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai recently, DP World’s group chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem confirmed building first hyperloop project in India. The project which will link Pune with Mumbai is meant to decongest cargo movement. Earlier, the company had signed a deal with Virgin Hyperloop in February 2018 which has now been bought by DP World.

Sultan bin Sulayem said DP: “The first project will be in India, we signed an agreement and we are looking at how to test the project. We have a team in India that is working very hard, we’re working with our office here and in Los Angeles, but we are not wasting our time.”
