Anshuman Singh (former top executive of Future Supply Chain) led Stellar Value Chain Solutions has made its third acquisition since its formation in 2016. Warburg Pincus- backed company recently announced acquiring Patel Roadways, a known name in the express logistics space. “With the Patel Roadways acquisition, we intend to make deeper inroads in the Express and LTL distribution space across the country. Patel Roadways is an extremely reputed brand and we have known it well for decades,” Stellar chairman and managing director Anshuman Singh has been quoted as saying in a news report.
Stellar which was formed with $125 million funding support from Warburg Pincus has built a portfolio of services particularly aligned to customers across FMCG, retail, auto, pharma, and e-commerce. Earlier the company had acquired a cold chain company Kelvin Cold Chain Logistics and later a mid-scale Kolkata headquartered 3PL firm, Innovative Logistics Services. The inclusion of Patel Roadways in the fold is expected to aid Stellar in expanding its road network to over 350 branches on a pan-India basis.
