Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) was recently felicitated by Cycling Federation of India (CFI) for its exceptional contribution towards supporting young professional cyclists representing India at international level. HMSI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CFI in May 2017 to support the talented young Indian cyclists to global level. In last two years, Honda provided equipment including static trainer, Motorized, disc wheel cycles and foreign training support.
With Honda’s constant support, young 18 Indian cyclists are making India proud in the World Premiere Cycling Championships. Starting 2019 on a thumping note, Indian cycling team led by young Ronaldo Laitonjam Singh and Alban Esow topped the medals tally with 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals at 26th Junior Asian Track Cycling Championship held in Jakarta Indonesia. Represented by Mayuri Lute, Manjeet Singh & Apolonious, team India secured first place in medals tally by bagging 6 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals at Track Asia Cup, September 2018. Alban Esow won the first ever Silver Medal for India in the World Junior Cycling Championships held at Aigle in August, 2018.
