Flipkart joins hands with NSDC to train 20k supply chain workforce

Domestic e-commerce major Flipkart has joined hands with National Skill Development Corporation’s Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC) to prepare a sizeable pool of trained supplychain workforce for the future. In a statement released on Sunday, the Walmart owned company confirmed that in association with LSC, it will be training 20,000 of its delivery executives across the country.

“This is the first ever partnership between an e-commerce company and LSC…Flipkart envisions to have a robust training programme along with LSC for its additional 30,000-strong supply chain workforce,” Flipkart said in a statement.

The training programme would basically be directed to impart the knowledge in attaining excellence in the delivery processes at various stages of the operational value chain including preparation for delivery, making best use of available transportation resources, etc. The company had kickstarted this programme in May and has trained 4000 personnel so far.
