With an aim to expand its operational portfolio, fast growing express logistics firm SPOTON LOGISTICS is likely to announce acquisition of a mid-scale 3PL before the end of the current fiscal. In a recent conversation with supplychainlog, Abhik Mitra, CEO, Spoton Logistics confirmed that the company is in advanced stage of negotiation.
“ All I can tell you at this stage is that the talks are at an advanced stage and we expect the deal to be finalized in the next few months. It would aptly support our target to move out to new pockets over and above our existing base and add more services line to our portfolio,” Mitra said. He, however, refused to divulge any further details including the possible ticket-size of the proposed investment.
The company has recently opened a new hub near Pune with the primary intention of offering services to clients in pharma, automobile, electronics and other emerging sectors. In FY 2018-19, Spoton Logistics had reported a commendable 32% topline growth clocking a revenue figure close to 650 crore. The company has now also added “Air Express” cargo services to its portfolio.
