Govt plans product specific warehouses at ports

Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) intends to create Product Specific Warehouses/Silos at various Ports (including both Major and Non-Major Ports), Multi Modal Logistics Parks located near Port area and alongside the National Waterways. Positive growth in cargo traffic at major ports

After eight months of contraction, cargo traffic at the major ports grew by 3% y-o-y in November 2020. For the April-November period, the traffic has fallen by 10.5% y-o-y — only Mormugao port has seen a higher volume of cargo in the current financial year than a year ago. Truck owners suffering losses due to faulty FASTag transaction

Indian trucking sector is suffering from losses of Rs 2-3 crore /day in faulty toll transactions, revealed a report released by Gurugram based logistics tech startup, WheelsEye Technology. The report has been prepared on the basis of a research conducted on over 5 lakh FASTag users.
