The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of India last week signed a $177 million loan to upgrade 450 kilometers (km) of state highways and major district roads in the state of Maharashtra. Two major PSUs – NTPC and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation – have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly explore new opportunities in the renewable space. Rs 50,000 crore investment for coal evacuation infrastructure

As part of its Rs 20 trillion fiscal stimulus package announcements (four rounds of announcements last week), finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday informed about government’s plan of sweeping reforms in the coal and the mining sector. Rajasthan Solarpark Development Company (RSDCL) and NTPC have signed an agreement to jointly develop 925 MW capacity Nokh Solar Park at Nokh, Jaisalmer.
