NTPC’s installed capacity crosses 58,000 MW

India’s largest power generator, NTPC Ltd recently announced its total installed capacity increasing to 58,156 MW with the commissioning of 1st Unit of 800 MW at Darlipali Super Thermal Power Project in Odisha. With this addition, the total installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 49,695 MW and 58,156 MW respectively. Agro based SEZ to come up in Sabroom, Tripura

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified the setting up of the first ever Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Tripura on December 16, 2019. The SEZ is being set-up at Paschim Jalefa, Sabroom, South Tripura District, which is 130 km away from Agartala. It will be a Sector Specific Economic Zone for Agro-Based Food Processing. India targeting 3300 MTPA port capacity by 2025

India is targeting to increase port capacity in the range of over 33000 MTPA by the end of 2025. In a reply in Lok Sabha recently, Minister of State for Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya informed that capacity augmentation is driven by  an analysis of nation-wide end-to-end logistics flows of all key commodities (85% of all commodities).
